The Danish Minister of Justice refuses to find out how much free labour Tvind has received from the public authorities.

State aid

Soendagsavisen has on a previous occasion described how the Department of Prisons and Probation since 1985 has used the Tvind organisation UFF as a stationing place for criminals, who have been sentenced to do social service.

Peter Skaarup, member of the Danish Parliament from Dansk Folkeparti  [right wing party - mostly noticed for its hatred of foreigners of any kind - translators remark] has asked the Minister of Justice, Frank Jensen, from Socialdemokratiet, to report how much money the state in this indirect way has contributed to the money chests of Tvind and the names of the organisations and associations which have received public support in this way.

But the Danish Minister of Justice does not want to answer the question: " In order to reply to the question we would have to go through all actual cases, which will demand a lot of resources. I do not believe there is a basis for such a thorough examination".

However Peter Skaarup is not satisfied with this answer: " It is wrong when the Department of Prisons and Probation does not register where the criminals work. In this way it is impossible to examine how the system works. Peter Skaarup will now raise the question in the Legal Committee of the Danish Parliament in order to secure a future control of the stationing of criminals.

Since the charges of fraud for million of crowns have been raised against 4 Tvind leaders the Department of Prisons and Probation has issued a temporary prohibition of using UFF as a place for stationing of the criminals sentenced to social service.
